Plaque 6cm by 4.5cm £3,000.00-£5,000.00 543 A GEORGE II GOLD SNUFF-BOX,APPARENTLY UNMARKED, CIRCA 1740, cartouche shaped, the hinged cover cast and chased with a scene of figures in a classical interior, engraved inside with the Royal coat-of-arms, in fitted cloth covered case, 7.5 cm. wide, 3.4 troy ounces. The present box can be compared to another unmarked box which was presented to RichardWellesley, 1st MarquessWellesley, the brother of the Duke ofWellington (Christie’s, South Kensington, July 2013, lot 237). £6,000.00-£8,000.00 544 A 19TH CENTURY CARVED COQUILLA NUT SNUFF BOX, the hinged cover carved in relief with religious artefacts including a monstrance and bishop’s mitre, the case further decorated with cross, bible and winged putti.
